FOP Lodge #81

The Lodge Constitution and By-Laws were approved by the membership at our meeting on August 19th, at the PD.  During the meeting, following items were discussed:

- President’s Report (Motioned by Buenz, Almaguer);

- Treasurer’s Report was included in Secretary’s Report due to excused absence of the Treasurer;

- Secretary’s Report (Buenz, Almaguer);

- Several corrections were made to the By-laws before the vote (Weatherford, Kolpak);

- Discussion of a new venue (possibly City Hall) to properly recognize retiring members by posting Department’s Honor Guard;

- Endorsement of Sen. John Millner for State Senator from the 28th District (see News tab for more information, motions by Carney, Campise);

- Thank you to volunteers who donated their time during the annual “Cop On Top” event as well as the “Torch Run”;

- Two retirements are coming up, DC Doherty in October and Cmdr. Kopczynski in September (see News tab for more information);

- A $500 scholarship was awarded to Rachel Carney, the daughter of our Lodge member Paul Carney.  Congratulations, Rachel, and good luck at UW-Milwaukee.
